Rossendale Male Voice Choir bus naming ceremony

Locally-owned Rosso has named one of its double-decker buses after the well-known and popular Rossendale Male Voice Choir. The bus was formally unveiled at New Hall Hey Retail Park, with the choir on hand to serenade the proceedings! Councillor Colin Crawforth, Mayor of Rossendale, gave a civic seal of approval to the proceedings.

Choir Secretary Peter Beetham said he was absolutely delighted with the prospect of the choir's name being carried on one of Rosso's buses, and he and his fellow choir members were looking forward to seeing the bus in the communities of East Lancashire and Greater Manchester, where the company's vehicles are a familiar sight serving the many towns and villages.

Commenting on the decision to name a bus after Rossendale Male Voice Choir, Rosso Managing Director Phil Smith said: "The company and its buses are very much part of the communities we serve, and the Male Voice Choir does fantastic work supporting and promoting the people and culture of the Rossendale Valley. We wish them well."
