Here's your guide to buses over Easter

published: Wednesday, April 10 2019

Chocolate eggs might have been on the supermarket shelves since December but now...Easter is almost here!

We've put together a cracking selection of things for you to see and do and of course, there's no better way to get there than by bus.

Here's your handy guide to how our buses are running over Easter, as well as our selection of the best things to see and do!

Buses in Rossendale and Greater Manchester over the bank holiday

Good Friday 19 April Sunday service
Saturday 20 April Normal Saturday service
Easter Sunday 21 April Normal Sunday service
Easter Monday 22 April Sunday service
Tuesday 23 April Buses return to normal

Fun things to see and do

Easter isn't just about stuffing your face with chocolate – it's a time to get together as a family and head outdoors for some fun.

Free Sunday at Thompson Park Railway
Sunday 28 April, Thompson Park, Burnley

The Burnley and Pendle Miniature Railway Society was established in 1990, by a few locals who all shared a common interest; miniature railways. The society soon grew to have a dozen or so active members, and their popular miniature railway is free for all on Sunday 28 April!

Easter Egg-stravaganza at the ELR
All over Easter, Rawtenstall

Join the East Lancashire Railway as they steam into springtime with a “choc” full event programme. If you’re looking for an old school Easter egg hunt, you're wild about wacky wizards or desperate to dally with some dinosaurs they have something to for you.

  • Get there on the 464, Irwell Line, and any of our other buses in Rawtenstall

Easter Messy Play Party
Saturday 20 April, Adrenaline Centre, Haslingden

Your little chicks can have some messy Easter fun with egg rolling, Easter rice and feathers, and exploring nature at its messy best with gloopy ducks and spaghetti bird nests. Enjoy accessorising with fun head boppers and Easter bonnets. Of course no Easter party would be complete without a classic Easter egg hunt. So get prepared to get messy and have fun!

  • Irwell Line 481 and Red Express both stop just around the corner! Get off at Mayfield Avenue

Make it a family day

Don't break the bank this Easter - any five people can travel together all over Lancashire and Greater Manchester for just £19. Buy your Daytripper Group from the driver or on our app, Transdev Go - search 'Transdev Go' on the App Store or Google Play.
